Problem report / further detail
Ladies and Gentlemen. I have some concerns about the bidding on two items (************ & ************).***I bid on item * ************. The bid was about $**. I put in a max bid of $**…. At * seconds before the bidding ended someone bid * penny less than my maximum bid! **I thought that was a very strange coincidence. So I watched a similar item by the same seller on the next day.**Sure enough the same bidder drove the price up to the winners maximum bid. Again bidding just pennies below the winners maxim. And again this happened AFTER the winning bidder had put in his maximum bid.**Is that no suspicious? Once might bb coincidental. But twice in two days? **Here are my questions and observations. This same bidder (g**s) never purchased any of the items. But by both times he*she caused the price of the item to max out.**In my case I bid a maximum of $** on something that was currently at $** dollars. Yet I ended up paying at my maximum $** bid. Then the same thing happened the next day by the same seller with the same bidder (different winner... I did not participate in that auction).**I’d say something is fishy here. **Here’s what I see:**Item * ************…. The bogus bidder (g**s) bid (after my maximum bid of $** was recorded) just one penny below my maximum. That in itself is most unusual. But not unheard of.**But the next day….**Item ***************The same bidder (g**s) again bids just under the maximum bid of the winning bidder. This time by just $*. And again, the timing of his*her bid is AFTER the winning bidder has put in his maximum bid.**So, two times in sequence, this bidder, at the very last second and to an amount just under the max high bid already in place, has forced the bid to jump up almost to double what is was. (from the mid $** to over $**). And inn both cases this bidder did not win the item but pushed the price up to the absolute maximum…**Once would be unusual. Twice in two days?. The same bidder with the same seller, each time just under the highest bid out there? That certainly seems to me to be more than a coincidence.I hope you will look into it.** Maybe I’m wrong but I’d be surprised, it all seems just too convenient.** If I am incorrect I would be happy to hear how I have it wrong. In that case I would feel better. Otherwise, I hope you will take some action.**Thank you for listening . Richard Pierce
