I've experienced ongoing issues with the newspaper delivery service recently. Despite contacting customer service and being promised a subscription extension, my papers have not been delivered for the past three days and also last Saturday. I was informed by a representative that my subscription would be extended, but given the lack of delivery, it seems my subscription may have been canceled without my knowledge. After reaching out on Monday and not receiving a promised callback, I am at the point where I would like to cancel my subscription, receive a refund for the remaining fee, and end our association.

I have been a loyal subscriber to The Dispatch for over a decade now. As a senior who prefers the feel of a physical newspaper, the continuous price increases have become a concern for me. Despite my loyalty, it's disheartening to learn there are no discounts for seniors. I cherish reading the team rosters, especially during the OSU football season, but this year's inconsistencies in printing them have been disappointing. Missing sections like the two deep roster and Arts and Entertainment diminish my newspaper experience. The absence of the Parade magazine and Arts and Entertainment section has made my Sunday routine incomplete. Holding onto tradition and enjoying the Sunday paper has become a challenge.

Hello, I am Celeste Sargent. I have been on unemployment since March [redacted]. I exhausted my initial 26 weeks in September and was granted an extension. However, when I called on December 21st to request another extension as advised, I found out that my benefits had actually ended on December 26th. President Trump signed a budget on December 27th, extending unemployment benefits, which I thought was good news. Three weeks later, myself and many others have not received any payments as we are in a category called extended benefits due to exhausting the initial 26 weeks and the following 13 weeks. Despite numerous calls to the Unemployment office, I have not received a consistent response. I am sincerely asking for assistance in looking into this matter to receive clarity and aid for myself and others in similar situations. Thank you for your help. Celeste Sargent

I have been a loyal Columbus Dispatch subscriber for a long time, as has my father, M. B. We both reside at Waters Edge Apartment Community, with me at [redacted] Water Crest Lane and my father at [redacted] Waterfall Fall Lane. Over the past few years, we have encountered consistent issues with not receiving our paper. Recently, there appears to be a new carrier who throws the paper far from our front doors, making it difficult to locate, especially in snowy conditions. As someone dealing with chronic pain and recovery from surgery, it is unfair for me to have to search for the paper outside. Likewise, my 94-year-old father should not have to do the same. The new carrier's delivery method is not considerate of our needs as customers. We kindly request contact from the district manager or carrier to address this unprofessional behavior promptly. I can be reached at [redacted], and my father at [redacted]. Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Best, Randall C Brown

I did not receive my newspaper on Monday, March 8th or Tuesday, March 9th. The delivery service has been consistently problematic with papers not being delivered, ending up in bushes, or left in the yard during snow. The delivery person needs to improve their accuracy in placing the paper or bring it directly to the porch as required. I have been a subscriber for 50 years and have never experienced so many delivery issues before. Given the high cost of the subscription, I expect a higher level of service in return.

Since March 7, [redacted], my newspaper has consistently arrived late, if at all, past 2:00 pm every day. It's frustrating not having the time to report this issue daily. The customer service experience is extremely poor whenever I do call in. Despite nearly a month passing, the problem persists unresolved. For the price of the subscription, I expect better service. Rather than credits, I simply desire the paper on time. But now, I must contact every other day for due credits. It's disappointing a company this large can't fix the problem. I suspect other customers on this route are facing similar issues. I hope someone who values customers reads this and addresses the situation. Laurel B

I have frequently experienced issues with our carrier delivering our newspaper late or not at all. Despite my report in yesterday through your automated system about the missing Sunday paper, we received both the Sunday and Monday editions today, which defeats the purpose of having a Sunday paper delivered on a Monday. A few months back, I faced the same problem, and after several reports, I was asked by the delivery person, Kathy, to contact her directly instead of reaching out to your customer service. However, after a couple of months of having to call Kathy for missing papers, we ended on a sour note, and she instructed me to contact your team instead. Despite requesting the paper to be placed on our porch due to mobility issues, this service was discontinued. Could the carrier instead place the newspaper in the designated slot at the bottom of the mailbox? Thank you for your attention to this matter. If necessary, please reach me by email at [redacted]

I recently had to reduce my newspaper delivery to Saturday and Sunday only due to costs. Unfortunately, I have not received the Saturday papers on 6/19, 6/26, and 7/3, as well as the Sunday Dispatch on 6/27 and 7/4. While I appreciate the account credits, I am really missing my Sunday editions. Is it possible to receive the missing newspaper from yesterday, 7/4? I also seem to be having trouble accessing the online edition beyond just the headlines, which I thought I would have access to. As a long-time customer of over 40 years, I am feeling quite frustrated with the situation. My husband, Roger C., only reads The NY Times online, but I still prefer the physical newspaper. Can you assist with resolving these issues? Thank you. Mrs. Joan C.

I am a digital subscriber seeking clarity on your comment policy for articles. I recently posted a non-offensive response to a hostile comment about masks, but it disappeared, and I couldn't comment again. The CDC's control could have led to reaching vaccination goals, but politicization has caused issues. The Delta variant poses risks, especially for unvaccinated individuals. Some vaccinated people can transmit the virus, prompting the CDC's mask recommendation. We should prioritize protecting vulnerable groups. Misinformation from figures like Tucker Carlson can be harmful; fact-checking is crucial for our safety. Total control by the CDC is criticized, but resisting masks post-vaccination defies caution. Suggesting masks are useless implies vaccination was ineffective. A proposal to burn masks in protest presents differing viewpoints on mask-wearing post-vaccination.

I am reaching out for assistance with a recent issue following my Mother in Law's passing. My wife, inadvertently cancelled her subscription, only to realize it had been under her deceased husband's name, John Hallowell. Consequently, the refund check was issued in his name. We kindly ask if it's possible to reissue the check in the name of either Gale Hallowell or "The Estate of Delores Hallowell" with the same address provided. The details are as follows: Account Name: John Hallowell Address: [redacted] Mount Air Place, Columbus, Oh [redacted] Account no: 0[redacted]1 Invoice no. on check: 0[redacted]1-[redacted] Payment no.: [redacted] Should further documentation be required, such as the Executor letter of authority, please do not hesitate to reach out. We appreciate your understanding and assistance in resolving this matter.

Hello, my name is Tiffany Bryant, and I am writing on behalf of my spouse. She has worked for the company for over 2 years and has been driving routes for the district manager, Angie. On the 21st of this month, Angie took my spouse's job due to an incident that I feel was not thoroughly investigated. Angie accused my wife of threatening someone at the store where she delivered papers. However, the person Angie spoke to is no longer employed at [redacted]. Despite this, Angie refuses to reinstate my spouse, stating that the company no longer wants her. Prior to this, they had a friendly relationship where my wife would cover shifts for Angie and even lend her money. This sudden change happened right after my wife applied for a part-time job due to the upcoming holidays. There is no evidence to support Angie's claims, and this decision seems to be influenced by personal reasons rather than work performance. I believe there is more to this situation, and I am expressing my concerns before taking further action. Thank you.

I am disappointed in the Columbus Dispatch for using the term "breastfeeding people" instead of "women" in Dr. Roach's column. In the other newspapers where his column is published, the correct term "women" is used consistently. It is important to acknowledge the biological differences that define who we are, such as only women being able to breastfeed. Referring to women by just their body parts or erasing the term "women" diminishes their identity and achievements, especially in the medical and scientific fields where women have fought for recognition. The Dispatch's decision to alter language reflects a concerning trend of denying objective reality in favor of subjective interpretations. It is possible to be inclusive without disregarding established biological facts. The paper's editors should be more respectful of these realities and understand their impact on women's health and societal perceptions.

I have filed a report regarding this, but I did not receive the newspaper on Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5. My neighbors received theirs, which leads me to believe the carrier might be struggling. The delivery times have been inconsistent as well, sometimes arriving at 8 a.m., other times as late as the evening. Additionally, I have encountered issues with the online version of the paper. While I understand missing a paper is a minor inconvenience, I hope for better service in the future. My address is [redacted] Oak Dr., Orient. I anticipate a paper delivery on my driveway on Monday. Thank you for your attention to this matter. G. Morgan

I am becoming frustrated. For the third consecutive day, I have not received my paper. I have previously contacted the dispatch for the first two instances, and now I am facing the same issue today. On December 4 and 5, my neighbors received their papers, but I did not. I am unable to access the e-paper currently and would prefer a hard copy. I value journalism and local newspapers, but my recent experiences are causing me to question. Please assist. Gail M., [redacted] Oak Dr. Orient, Ohio [redacted], [redacted]

I'm Gail Morgan residing at [redacted] Oak Dr. I've been missing my paper for the past 4 days, but I've identified the issue. The carrier has been delivering it to [redacted] Park, a neighboring street, although in close proximity. Our house faces Oak, despite our driveway being on Park. The confusion has occurred before, and I understand how it can happen. It’s promising that the carrier is delivering earlier now. Hopefully, the situation will be rectified tomorrow. Thank you. I live at [redacted] Scottglen Court in Columbus, Ohio. I have requested several times for the paper to be placed on the chair near the door. Unfortunately, this Sunday, my neighbor found the paper at the bottom of the driveway. Due to issues with my hips and knees, it is difficult for me to retrieve it from there. Additionally, I have noticed that I am not receiving all the advertisements in the Sunday paper consistently. Sometimes they are included, and other times they are missing. Your assistance with these matters would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am experiencing ongoing delivery issues with the Dispatch newspaper. Despite several complaints and assurances that the paper would arrive by 11 AM on weekdays and 9:30 AM on Sundays, it has not. I had to buy a Sunday paper for $5. I am requesting an extension on my subscription, reimbursement for the additional paper purchased, and a direct phone call from a customer service representative at [redacted]. Thank you.

I am inquiring about my newspaper delivery. There was no delivery on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. I am unsure if one was published on these days. There have been other days with no delivery and I have been unable to reach a person, only a machine. Please inform the delivery person to place the newspaper on my porch instead of elsewhere, as I have difficulty finding it. Due to my disability and use of a walker, playing "hide and seek" with the paper is not feasible. My late husband had been a subscriber for 32 years, but since his passing, I am considering canceling as I only read specific sections. I received a notice about an increase in the subscription rate, compounding my decision to potentially cancel. Thank you.

I've encountered an issue as I haven't received the Saturday newspaper for the past two weeks. I specifically subscribed to the Saturday edition. I didn't receive a Saturday paper on 01/29/[redacted], and last week on 01/22/[redacted], I received the Friday paper on Saturday as I hadn't received the Friday paper on 01/21/[redacted]. Consequently, I missed out on the actual Saturday paper. When I called about the issue on that Friday, I was disappointed that no one delivered a paper in the morning. I am frustrated with this recurring problem of missing papers. Despite this inconvenience, I haven't seen any adjustment in my bill, which is disappointing as a loyal customer. It feels like a rip-off not to receive what I've paid for.

I have been a loyal customer of home delivery Dispatch for many years, despite suggestions to switch to digital. I appreciate the experience of reading a physical newspaper. However, I have not received my paper for a few days recently, even after a promise to extend my subscription for the missed deliveries. I want to receive the paper daily without having to chase down customer service for a resolution. I expect the quality service I am paying for without having to provide the solutions myself. Thank you. - P. L. at [redacted] Bailey Place, Columbus, OH [redacted]
