I recently purchased a Sony PlayStation 4 from Best Buy, but it has been 16 days since the purchase and I am unable to return it. Best Buy offered store credit or an exchange, and I chose to exchange it for an Xbox on September 18, [redacted]. When they scanned the receipts, they noticed the serial number did not match the one on the PlayStation box and refused the exchange. I purchased it from them and received both the receipt and box from the store. I am unsure how to proceed and would appreciate any advice on how to handle this situation without legal action.

Whenever I attempt to power on my PS4, it reaches the logo screen before shutting down. This issue began today, as it was functioning normally yesterday. I managed to start it once, but encountered difficulties with "checking system storage status." Eventually, I decided to initialize the PS4 to remove any potentially corrupted saved files. However, it has been eight hours since the process began, and there has been no progress. The console is still displaying a blue, blinking light.

Hello, approximately a year ago, my brother and I purchased a PS4. On that same day, my brother bought a 1-year PS Plus internet card. We agreed to alternate buying the internet cards. Today, it was my turn to pay for another year, which I did on a sub-account. However, when I tried to play Rocket League, I received an error stating that my license had expired and prompting me to purchase the game for €19.99 in the PS store. How can I resolve this issue?

After updating my PlayStation, it keeps freezing and forces me to unplug it to turn it off. Now, it says my system is corrupted. When I try to refresh the system, it loads to 48%, then goes to a black screen and stays there until I have to unplug it again. I can't access the system at all until the corrupted data is removed, but it won't finish downloading to fix it. Please assist me with this issue.

I contacted customer service three months ago, and I was assured my issue would be resolved by Christmas. Apologies for my impatience. After my PS3 was stolen six months ago, I finally regained access to my account but cannot activate my two new systems purchased for the family. Currently, they are playing Black Ops 3 under my account. I have spent almost $[redacted] on PSN and would appreciate assistance in activating the new systems before the holidays. It would mean a lot to us, and I hope to resolve this issue soon to avoid further frustration, especially with my wife's complaints. I am unable to locate the model number on the PS3 purchased from GameStop, but I have the serial number available. Thank you for your time and anticipated help.

I have a single PS4 system, and last week, I found it deactivated. This prevented me from playing games offline and locked my partner out of games I've downloaded on her profile. When I tried to set my account as primary, it indicated another system as primary, which isn't the case. I tried to deactivate all consoles from the website, but I couldn't find the option to do so. I have not shared my login information with anyone.

While cleaning my PlayStation 4, I removed the cover to clean out the dust and then reattached the HDMI and power cables. Upon turning it on, I encountered an error message stating "The update file cannot be used. Connect a USB storage device that contains an update file for reinstallation for version 3.11 or later (CE-[redacted]-0)." Despite attempting to update it four times and downloading update 3.11 from the PlayStation website onto a USB flash drive, the issue persists. Even after trying to update via the Internet, the console keeps prompting me to update to version 3.11 upon restart, preventing me from accessing the usual PlayStation 4 interface.

Yesterday, I was enjoying a seamless experience playing Star Wars Battlefront on my PS4. It was perfect. However, today, when I attempted to play this morning, I encountered an issue. The game wouldn't launch and prompted me to press triangle to connect. Upon doing so, a message appeared stating that I needed to be signed into my EA account to access online features. I am unsure what steps to take next.

Installing games is taking much longer than expected. I find it reasonable for a 40GB game to take hours to download but the subsequent 5-hour installation of a game seems excessive. This timeframe does not seem up to par with next-gen technology. With my 5-year-old laptop performing faster data processing, I am questioning if there might be a configuration issue. Could there be a defect with the console causing the lengthy install times? I am contemplating returning the console due to this ongoing issue.

I recently received an email about a password change request that I didn't initiate. When I tried to sign in, it stated my email was invalid. I was informed by my PS4 friends that my account "d1_ollie45" had been altered, including the profile picture and username, and someone was playing 2k 16 using it. I am extremely frustrated as I no longer have access to my account. I have screenshots to prove my ownership. Please assist me with resolving this issue.

I purchased "Saints Row 4" from the PlayStation Store two days ago. Every time I attempt to play, the game freezes my PS3 after about 10 minutes. It seems to be an issue with the game itself as it is the only one causing problems. I would appreciate assistance in resolving this issue or a refund to my account along with the removal of the game. I enjoy buying games from the PlayStation Store and would like to continue doing so, but I need help with this current problem. My PSN ID is mexis1999.

I haven't played Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) since the summer, but with all the new DLCs, Christmas sales, and the 4-year anniversary, I decided to jump back in. Wanting to start fresh with all the new content, I chose a level 60 character this time around after being only level 29 previously. However, since yesterday (12/26/15), I've been consistently getting kicked out of the game and server shortly after logging in. I thought it might be due to high online traffic, but the issue persisted even late at night and the next day (12/27). I've checked my network connection, but the problem continues. I've tried multiple times, only to be kicked out again after a short while of gameplay. Can anyone offer some insight or assistance on what might be causing this recurring issue?

I signed up for PS3 online years ago using an old email that has been closed for over 5 years. I accidentally erased my password and have been unable to add my new email to the existing account. I have tried various methods with no success. I attempted to recover the old email account, but it has been permanently closed. I would appreciate any assistance in updating my information with your team to facilitate my return to online gaming as soon as possible.

I have been attempting to log into my PS3 account through the PlayStation network for a week without success. The error message "Connection has timed out" repeatedly appears on the screen. Despite verifying my LAN connection and having a stable WiFi connection, I encounter the same issue when attempting to sign in. I have attempted troubleshooting steps like resetting my router, changing router ports, and replacing the Ethernet cable to no avail. I am experiencing issues with updating my games or downloading from the store. Additionally, I am unable to view my friends list, although I can still send and receive messages. Whenever I try to update new games or check who is online, a DNS error occurs. Despite passing an Internet test that did not indicate any problems, I can still use the Internet for platforms like YouTube and sending messages. I am also able to access the PlayStation store and browse, but downloading content is not possible.

Earlier tonight, my nephew was using my PS4 to play The Crew Wild Run. Without realizing it, he made two in-app purchases for $9.99 each. He wrongly assumed it was using in-game currency. The PS4 account is connected to my personal bank account, and I did not give him permission to make any purchases. In our household, we have two PS4 consoles, one belonging to me and the other to my dad. Typically, my dad purchases the games, and I contribute my share. To simplify the process, we made my PS4 the primary console so that I can access and play the games. However, an issue has arisen as my dad is now unable to play the games he purchased since they are locked to my console. It is frustrating and inefficient to have to purchase the same game twice just to play on both consoles, akin to buying two physical copies. We are seeking a solution that will allow us to play games on separate PlayStations without constantly switching the primary console back and forth.

While playing, my gameplay was interrupted, and upon trying to log back in, I encountered an issue where it indicated that another user had accessed my account. Shortly after, I received an email notifying me of a change in my sign-in ID, which came as a surprise to me. The email provided a link to address the issue, but unfortunately, it did not resolve the problem, leaving me concerned about the significant financial investments tied to my account. Restoring access to my account is crucial in light of this situation.

I set up my account as primary on my old PS4 with a faulty power supply. Sony replaced it with a new PS4 under warranty. Now, my primary PlayStation Plus account is stuck on the old system, preventing me from activating it on the new PS4. I need to make my PS Plus account primary on the new system for other accounts to access online features. Any assistance is appreciated.

Can I apply the promotional code for the 50% off along with the gift card to extend the subscription to two years?
