Hello! I have been using the Duolingo Family Pack for some time now and find the program enjoyable for practice. However, I feel it lacks additional explanations and grammar instruction necessary for language learning. I recently discovered that the forum is closed for adding new content, which is concerning as there is no customer service or contact available. It's frustrating not to have a place for clarification on marked errors, as the existing answers may not be correct or up to date. Having to use GetHuman to reach out feels impersonal, and I am unsure if there will be a chance for the forum to reopen. I encountered issues while attempting the test twice. Initially, after closing all background tasks, the system indicated a program was still running. On a separate laptop, the microphone was reported as malfunctioning, despite its successful use by others for tests. Upon retrying on my laptop, the test flagged issues with the internet connection and a background program. This recurrent problem has persisted for a month, and with only two days remaining on my subscription, resolving it promptly is essential. Your urgent assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello team, I signed up for a free trial on Duolingo that was supposed to renew for a full year after 2 weeks, with a notification sent 3 days prior. My account was blocked during the exam as they suspected assistance. I need to complete this test and avoid being blocked. I appeared nervous and glanced around, but I was trying to focus. I am willing to retake the exam with a mirror present to ensure no one is helping me. I am a dentistry student in finals, under immense pressure, and this test is crucial for my graduation. Please reconsider unblocking my account. I am fluent in English and wrote this myself, but I struggle with test anxiety due to depression and anxiety. I was unaware that my yearly subscription renewed and the app deducted the money without notifying me. This led to significant issues in my bank account, taking two weeks to resolve before realizing that Duolingo was the cause. I find it unfair that paying $79.00 per year results in penalties for missing a day or two by having to purchase freezeStreaks. I prefer learning without the added competitive aspects and the inundation of social commentary on gender. I demand a refund for the remaining amount deducted without prior notice of the annual payment. I believe in the principle that the customer is always right and expect better communication and service.

Introduced to Duolingo by my daughter, I've been enjoying learning Spanish for [redacted] consecutive days on the app. She added me to her family plan, but now she can't locate me on it. While she has a premium plan, referred to as "Super," she cannot see me as a participant, unlike others including my partner. I believe I am experiencing technical issues with my account while abroad in Europe. I recently received notifications prompting me to practice on the language app I use. Despite completing the lessons, my streak was frozen after getting a warning because the system didn't register my earlier completion. In an attempt to keep the streak, I did a lesson while in London, and later, with a low battery, I did another lesson close to midnight. Despite practicing diligently afterwards, I faced issues with my hearts and streak being affected. Today, I encountered a notification stating my hearts were full, but I only had two. Now, facing connectivity issues at 11:30 pm, I made mistakes on a lesson, depleting my hearts and risking losing my streak. Despite practicing consistently, these glitches have been frustrating. I hope this can be resolved soon.

I was recently charged $83.88 for a year of Duolingo Plus subscription. Despite having a free trial previously, I have a habit of canceling before being charged. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any subscription details to cancel this time, leaving me presuming that I had already canceled the trial. The lack of transparency in the cancellation process is frustrating and led to this unintended charge, which is a significant amount for a college student like me. I did not authorize this deduction from my account for Duolingo. I am looking for a refund of the charged amount. If not resolved, I may need to escalate this matter with my bank.

Hello, I've been experiencing issues with your app. Initially, I noticed that no rewards, diamonds 💎, or coins were being credited for completing lessons. I finished a lot of them, but nothing was added. Due to this, I lost my first place in the weekly rankings. Then the tasks became unavailable. Why did I subscribe just for the app not to work in the end? And now, after removing it and trying to reinstall, I can't even access my account. It just gives an error message. Quite frustrating. Thank you 🤬 I kindly request to first restore access to the app for my account, fix its functionality so that everything is credited correctly - diamonds 💎, coins, and return my ranking. Compensate me for losing the first place in the current weekly rankings, as it's your fault I lost it. Hello, I am inquiring about the possibility of incorporating new stories into the app. I have completed most of the existing stories and have not noticed any additions. Additionally, I am contemplating whether purchasing the premium app is worthwhile as I am already over halfway through the current content. Will there be further lessons included? The program has greatly enhanced my French skills. I particularly appreciate the competitive aspect, which motivates me to engage daily. Repetition is crucial in language acquisition, alongside grammar and vocabulary retention, and frequent speaking practice. One drawback I encounter on my iPad (excluding the free version's advertisements) is the intermediate lessons where explanations are provided in English. They appear overly simplistic, and I prefer immersive French explanations without any English. I would also like to inquire if these lessons will be integrated into the Android app, as I am unable to access them on my Android device.

I have been studying Spanish, and every time the app is updated, I face issues with updating my progress. For instance, I did not receive any posts for completing the August Quest, and there is no explanation for the reduction in XP points. Features like idioms and flirting levels seem to have disappeared. As a paying adult customer, I would appreciate more information on these changes. This situation really diminishes the enjoyment of the learning process. Additionally, the Friends Quest is not enjoyable when I am the only one contributing all the work. I find Duolingo less fun now, with the stories and characters being quite boring compared to before. I hope for a better response from the team. Thank you.

I have noticed a change in the way practice reminders are sent to me after purchasing a streak repair. As an Android developer, I have analyzed my push notification history and observed a pattern where you stop reminding users once they show intent to pay for a streak repair. It seems like you are strategically encouraging users to stay on the app until it's more beneficial to stop sending reminders, causing them to lose their streak freeze. I have no intention of renewing my subscription and will focus on informing other users about this practice through social media and news outlets. Goodbye.

I am seeking advice on how to safeguard my account and mobile app against the recent controversial layout changes introduced on August 23, [redacted]. I wish to avoid receiving these changes altogether or have the ability to revert back to the current layout in case my account gets updated. As a Duolingo Plus member, I heavily rely on the current layout for my daily language learning. I have established a routine of redoing challenging lessons and introducing new lessons daily, which I find to be the most effective method for my learning. I am not interested in transitioning to a new linear format without these essential features that I have paid for. If the new app layout becomes mandatory for all users, it will disrupt my daily learning routine and may lead me to cancel my subscription and delete my account. I prefer a more mature-looking platform with similar functionalities. Is there any way users can choose to opt out of these changes or make them optional? Thank you.
