Upon our arrival in São Paulo on February 5th from DFW on AA Flight [redacted], we unfortunately did not receive our baggage. We completed a lost baggage form and obtained file number GRUAA[redacted]9 for two bags. Over the last 36 hours, the automated system has indicated that the bags are at the airport and that we would receive a call to coordinate delivery, but to date, no one has contacted us. We are currently in the state of ES, Brazil, having flown into Vitoria airport. We are scheduled to depart for the US on Thursday, February 10th, and urgently require these bags. We kindly request American Airlines to contact us promptly to arrange the delivery of our bags to the address specified on our claim form in Ville Velha.

Incident Number: MCOAA[redacted]4 I am deeply disappointed with American Airlines' handling of my recent trip from MIA to Vegas. Despite facing delays and cancellations on all four flights scheduled to Vegas, my baggage was inexplicably sent ahead. This caused a massive inconvenience as I was stranded in MIA with no way to reach Vegas while my bags were already there. The hours spent in rebooking and baggage claim lines, only to face continuous flight cancellations and unresponsive phone lines, have added to my frustration. This blunder has not only ruined my trip with friends but has also resulted in a significant financial loss due to pre-paid arrangements in Vegas. I urge American Airlines to address this issue promptly and return my bags from Vegas to my current location in Florida.

I recently flew back from Myrtle Beach to Toronto with a layover in Charlotte. Upon arriving in Toronto, I mistakenly left my luggage at a "Drop off luggage" area, thinking it was for my next flight with Westjet to Ottawa. After realizing my mistake, I contacted AA for assistance, and they said they would try to locate my bag and send it on my Westjet flight. Unfortunately, my bag did not make it to Ottawa. I hope it's still in Toronto and can be reunited with me. My address tag has [redacted] Glenncastle Drive, Carp, ON, and my cell number is [redacted]. My name is Richard Longworth.

I checked in a carry-on suitcase before boarding the plane, and it was in perfect condition. Unfortunately, when I received it directly from unloading, it had a big hole on the top side and a crack all the way through on the other top corner. The handle that should slide up and down was stuck in the up position and won't go down at all now. I wouldn't mind small dents or scratches, but this is significant damage.

I need to retrieve my suitcase after a cancelled flight. The American Airlines website states it is 'checked in' with yesterday's date and time. Claim Number [redacted], trip locator #TTNNFV. I plan to pick it up at the airport, but I want to confirm its location to expedite the process. UPDATE 2:02 PM - I visited the airport, verified my bag's presence with "find my iPad," but was informed it may take another 24 hours to reach baggage claim despite being close. Disappointed, I later discovered online that my suitcase is heading to Palm Beach after my rebooked flight due to the cancellation. Despite informing two agents of my intention to collect it, it was loaded onto a plane. I now request American Airlines deliver my bag to [redacted] Devonshire Way, Palm Beach Gardens, FL [redacted], where the doorman can receive it tonight.

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with my carry-on luggage. The airline staff asked me to check it before boarding the plane, even though I specifically inquired if it was going all the way to LaGuardia and was assured it was. Unfortunately, upon arrival, my carry-on was not at the airport. I took two flights on June 7th, Santa Ana to Dallas Forth Worth on flight AA [redacted], and then Dallas Forth Worth to LaGuardia on flight AA [redacted]. I have not heard back from Dallas regarding the status of my luggage. I would appreciate it if someone could contact me regarding locating my carry-on. Thank you.

I need your help. My bag is currently in Tampa, but I need it urgently in Sarasota, Florida as my flight was rerouted to SRQ. Despite being informed that my bag would be rerouted to SRQ with me, it seems that has not happened. I was waiting for the second part of my connecting flight, FL [redacted], when the flight time was changed to 10 o’clock. Subsequently, we boarded the plane with my baggage, only for the pilot to not show up. This ordeal has left me exhausted, as I have been awake all night without any rest, and I am in dire need of my belongings. I arrived today on Flight [redacted] from Dallas Fort Worth at 12:20, with an expected arrival time of 4pm. My name is Phyllis Dawson Brewer, currently lodging at the Hilton Garden Inn. I would greatly appreciate if my bag could be delivered to me tonight, as I have an early appointment tomorrow. My essential medication is inside, and I only had enough for one night as a precaution. My daughter, I.C., flew from DFW to Boston on Sunday, June 19 on American Airlines flight #[redacted] and then continued from Boston to Barcelona on Iberia Airlines flight #IB2626 (operating as American Airlines flight #[redacted]). When she arrived in Barcelona, her bag was missing. She filed a claim with Iberia, and the Property Irregularity Report number is #BCNIB98432. I also filed a claim with American Airlines with reference number #DFWAA[redacted]. The bag tracking information on the American Airlines app shows it was scanned and loaded onto the DFW to BOS flight #[redacted]. After speaking to various American Airlines representatives in Dallas and Boston, I received conflicting information about the bag's location. I visited the airport twice and finally found an agent who accessed additional information indicating the bag was scanned onto the Iberia Boston to Barcelona flight. I am feeling frustrated and confused at this point. The original Bag Tag number is AA [redacted] [redacted] [redacted], and I am unsure of what steps to take next as I am not receiving any updates.

My luggage did not arrive with me from Charlotte, NC to Ft. Lauderdale today. I had a hectic morning starting with a standby situation in Norfolk after missing my direct flight to Miami. After standing in line for over 2-1/2 hours, I eventually left Norfolk for Charlotte, only to find out my bags were still in Charlotte. Despite being reassured by an agent that my bags would make it to Ft. Lauderdale and I didn't need to recheck, they did not arrive. I was told they might be on one of the two flights from Charlotte, but as of 12:30, they haven't appeared. The main issue is that my wife's medication is in the missing luggage, and we have a cruise planned for tomorrow with no belongings. We're feeling very stressed and unprepared. Despite trying to reach out using my incident number, I haven't been able to speak to an agent or track my bags. Hoping for some positive news soon. Thank you.

My bag went missing on Monday. I completed a lost bag claim form with a baggage attendant at 10 a.m. They assured me it would be delivered the same day, but it didn't arrive. The following day, American Airlines contacted me to confirm the bag's delivery location despite discussing it previously. After two more days without my bag, I endured a 1.5-hour hold before speaking to someone who still couldn't locate my bag. It wasn't until Thursday afternoon that they found it and promised a quick delivery. However, my bag only arrived on Friday at 3 p.m. This situation showcased their incompetence over four frustrating days until finally receiving my bag.

My bag didn't make the connecting flight. It was retrieved at Newark Airport at 6:45 pm yesterday but hasn't been delivered as promised. The tracking information states it's out for delivery, but the staff I spoke to was unhelpful and difficult to understand, providing conflicting information. I have contacted numerous American Airlines representatives without resolution and have spent hours on hold. Can someone assist me urgently? - Heidi M.

I booked my trip with American Airlines from Kansas City, MO to Lisbon, Portugal on July 8, [redacted]. Unfortunately, due to limited overhead space, my carry-on had to be checked to Lisbon. Upon arriving in Lisbon at 11 pm on July 9, my bags were missing. I later found out they were offloaded in DFW. I had to rush to catch my next flight to Istanbul and couldn't contact American at the time. Now in Istanbul, I've arrived for my vacation, but my luggage with essential items is missing. I'm here for a tour until early Wednesday morning, 8/13, and I need the luggage delivered with no extra charge as soon as possible.

I arrived at DCA on Thursday evening, but my luggage didn't make it until the next morning, Friday the 15th. My bag has been at the DCA AA baggage office since then. I completed the delivery form upon arrival and have reached out to customer service four times. While the representatives have been helpful, they haven't been able to resolve the problem. They tried contacting the office without success and submitted requests for the bag to be delivered. I need the bag delivered promptly as I am not at my home address and will only be here for a few more days. It's frustrating that communication with this office has been unsuccessful. I can't easily go to the airport to pick it up. Please ensure my bag is sent out at the next delivery pick-up time by communicating with the office. My claim number is DCAAA[redacted]8. As an Advantage Member cardholder, I am greatly disappointed by the delay in resolving this matter. Thank you.

During an event trip, we unfortunately lost two of our bags. The hard case was located and delivered four days later, but to our dismay, it arrived damaged and missing items, with keepsakes ruined. The second bag, containing my husband's CPAP, jewelry, shoes, and other personal items, including more keepsakes, has not been returned yet. Despite being informed of its recovery on 7/23/22, it has not been delivered. We are currently using a loaner CPAP, but the airline requires its return. While a customer service representative offered a $50 travel voucher as an apology, it falls short of covering our losses, which amount to nearly $[redacted] due to the expensive CPAP. We have filed complaints online with baggage claim and customer service, awaiting a response and the return of our missing bag.

On July 26, [redacted], my family and I flew from Miami to the Dominican Republic with American Airlines. Upon arrival, we discovered that our suitcase was missing. I promptly alerted the baggage attendant and noticed a similar suitcase still in baggage claim. Suspecting it was ours, I urged the attendant to check the other passenger's bags, but to no avail. The attendant filled out a claim form and assured me she would contact the passenger who mistakenly took our luggage. After waiting in vain for updates that evening, I called American Airlines only to confirm my suspicions. The passenger with our suitcase wouldn't return it for three days due to transportation issues. Frustrated by the situation, I offered to retrieve it myself, but was told it wasn't an option. Instead, I was advised to shop for essentials and seek reimbursement. This ordeal disrupted important plans I arranged, like a welcome ceremony for my son's baseball team. We spent hours travelling to find clothes and necessities, missing out on memorable moments with the team. While I understand the mix-up wasn't the airline's fault, I believe more could have been done to assist. It's been three weeks since I filed a claim for reimbursement, and I'm yet to receive an update.

This is regarding a bag for passenger M.L., Record Locator: QGJLIZ, with AAdvantage # 3B31WK0 and Baggage Claim ID BCCAA[redacted]1. I need assistance to have my bag placed on flight AA [redacted] from DFW to BOG today. Originally scheduled to fly MSY-DFW then DFW-BOG, a delay due to a mechanical issue caused a change to MSY-CLT-FLL with a transfer to MIA for the BOG flight with Avianca. Despite this, my bag has been shuttling between DFW and FLL. After reaching BOG, an American agent directed me to submit a claim to Avianca, though my bag stayed with American. Following up, an AA agent said the bag would go to Avianca, yet it keeps returning from FLL to DFW. Since there's an AA flight today from DFW to BOG, I urge it to be put on that specific AA [redacted] flight. Baggage report with Avianca is BOGAV[redacted]3. My accommodations are at Mercure Bogota Bh Zona Financiera.

My baggage was delayed at the airport. I would appreciate it if the two pieces could be delivered to the Sheraton Hotel in Charlotte. I had to pick up my baggage myself and when I arrived at my final destination, one bag was missing. The next day, one bag was located and delivered, but the larger bag is still missing. It has been three days without this baggage, which contains difficult-to-replace medical items. I have been unable to reach American Airlines over the phone. The handling of our luggage has been disappointing.

Three bags were left at DFW during a transfer to a domestic flight (AA1355 on 22 Dec [redacted]). One bag was quickly found and sent to Detroit (DTW) the next day. However, two of the bags (tag #s [redacted] & [redacted]) are still at Baggage Claim in DFW. Unfortunately, there are no updates on how to retrieve them. It has been four days with no progress. Attempts to contact Baggage Claim at DTW have been unsuccessful as they do not answer the phone, and all other inquiries have not provided relevant information.
