My wife sent my mother two WU payments. She sent them from her Chinese bank account to my mother who lives in the US. My wife and I also live in the US. The first payment was for $**,*** and the second was for $**,***. My wife wasn't aware that those amounts would be a problem when trying to collect the funds. My wife has tried calling the Chinese WU customer service number to cancel them, but they told her she needs to return to China to do so. This is not really an option. Ideally, we'd like to find a place that would cash them out, change the transfer to a bank deposit, or to have Western Union send a check to my mother for deposit into the bank.
