Help needed please. We have a flight booked for AC flight *** res * NH**LZ from Winnipeg, departing to Maui on Jan ** with a stop over in Vancouver on the way. A family emergency caused my wife to go to Vancouver early, so we were hoping she could just connect with the other * of us at our several hour stop scheduled there. She will have no checked in luggage, and we will be changing planes at that airport regardless. I called your toll free number last week, but was told she may not be able to board in Vancouver if she doesn't depart with the originating flight from Winnipeg, but whether she will be allowed to will be up to the discretion of the attendant at the airport there at the time. Just asking, but why can't a simple communication with Air Canada be made prior to allow for this, as we don't want to take any chances missing the flight? Because we used another agency to book through, we are told you won't help make that arrangement for us, unless it is less than * days prior to the flight departure. Our other option would be for her to fly back to Winnipeg now, only to return to Vancouver which would be a large hardship for us. The agency who booked the flight res * *R**UQ ticket ***-********** isn't very helpful so I'm reaching out to you. You may already have a file re this matter, but I'm hoping you can do something for us as a compassionate measure which would be greatly appreciated.
